Day dawned to the realisation that although Katie has slept in until 6:30am I have been up with her at 4:30/5 so much in the last few days that my body thinks that is the acceptable time to awake without return to sleep- I try to convince it of it's error but it's not for listening.
Alison had her first go at driving without a navigator- Matthew looked fairly white when I saw him not sure if he was tired or terrified. A trip to an indoor play area for Alison and the kids with Alison coming over all claustrophobic in one of the tunnels, while trying to retrieve Katie- it appears her bravado only goes so far. I got hit for asking if she had become wedged in the tunnel- I'm still not entirely sure why.
I had a bunch of meetings which continued the helpful setting of a big picture of how Harvest functions and what it's dna is. I have to say that the more I see and hear the more excited I get. I met with three people today- the first meeting was a setting up for the rest of the residency, the second was a history of Harvest and the third was the dna stuff (church distinctives, leadership principles and elder principles).
Drop us a line if you are keen to find out anything else. Back tomorrow- hopefully not at 5am.
