Sorry to have been absent for a bit. The church were holding a kids holiday club and that on top of various other things going on last week meant that blogging got squeezed. Anyway, just to say thank you to all who came along to Resolve07 and to the speakers especially. We hope to have the audio content available soon. It was a great encouragement for me to hear from guys who are around teh same age as myself 'bring it.' It truly was a week of good truth as Hamish, Colin and Liam preached their hearts out. There is little doubt that those who came left with a richer view of God than they had when they arrived.
Over the course of the week they recommended some books to us. Hamish recommended 'Know the Truth' by Bruce Milne and 'Knowing God' by J.I. Packer. Colin recommended 'Systematic Theology' by Wayne Grudem and 'Created in God's Image'- Anthony Hoekema. All these books are available at what I believe to be the best prices in the UK from our partner book store at ICM books (see link in the sidebar).
Liam and I spent too long talking before we prayed for him so I didn't have time to ask him the books he would recommend- so we'll get back to you on that.
