Who's it aimed at?- It's aimed at people who want to spend time thinking Biblically about God. The idea is to try and increase the commitment to Biblical truth in the local church. We have summarised it in terms of deep truth preached in plain language with great passion. It comes out of a commitment to doctrine and maintaining its place as central to the teaching and life of the local church. So it's a kind of open house at Castlemilk Community Church.
What does it cost? It's free (although there will be offering buckets at the door to try and meet costs- so students will love it). The three guys are young preachers who pastor local churches in Stirling, Edinburgh and St. Andrews and are totally fired up about the Gospel. It won't be a dry academic exercise but will be an attempt to show how knowledge of the truth leads to Godliness (Titus 1:1).
Why should I come? You should come because doctrine matters. You should come because we all need to be reminded to focus once again on the awesome majesty of God. You should come because God will use His truth to transform your life into one of responsive righteousness marked by Godliness. You should come because it won't be a dry academic exercise but will be an attempt to show how knowledge of the truth leads to Godliness (Titus 1:1).
Where is it? See yesterday's entry for the address
