Church that is Humility Marked

We are called to be Humility Marked. Humility is to mark our lives, our words and our worship. It is to come from a recognition that anything that we are is by the grace of God to us. Humility releases us to authentic worship as we recognise that He is worthy and we are not but by His grace we are allowed to worship Him. Humility releases us from the tendency towards religion because it recognises that there is nothing that we can do that can ever gain favour with God, but that this favour is God's gift through faith to us in Jesus Christ. Humility releases us from the tendency to despair because we recognise that it is not for us to have all the answers, or provide all the resources but rather to trust in God who is faithful and able. Humility exalts God as great and recognises self as helpless and knows worshipping peace because it knows that Jesus is all that we need.
