Vance Havner on Preaching
I found this quote today and thought it was good. It is particularly true when preaching sound doctrine and is a reminder in many ways of the great need the preacher has to repeatedly throw himself upon, and always keep at the front of his mind, the grace of God. Vance Havner said that 'A preacher should have the mind of a scholar, the heart of a child, and the hide of a rhinoceros. His problem is how to toughen his hide without hardening his heart.'
